Passionately
attached to his house, restaurateur, Jean-Pierre Renaud, gives
all his enthusiasm and professionalism to preserve the Gonfalon
its beautiful reputation of traditional inn which has made its
success for the last 30 years.
At Gonfalon, you will definitely appreciate the large quiet
terrace by the Marne river side, shaded by enormous hundred-year-old
lime trees.
During summer time, dinner tables are set up on the terrace for you
to enjoy a great selection of very traditional French cooking and appreciate
the talents of the Head Chef.
At winter time, you
are invited to take dinner by the huge fire place in the elegant
blue styled Louis XIII dining room.
Also
try one of the eight confortable and very calm rooms which have
just been completely renovated. Prefer those with large private
terraces overlooking the Marne river or for a cosy and relaxed
athmosphere you will also enjoy the slightly mansard-roofed rooms
on the second floor.
Delicious breakfast are served on
the terrace on sunny spring or summer days or in your cozy room.
The service is welcoming and efficient yet very discrete.
At less
than one hour from Paris, The Gonfalon is definitely the perfect
place for a week-end, a tourist stop-over, a seminar or a family
celebration.
